An endorsement for River City Bicycles in Chattanooga, TN. They saved my day this morning. My bicycle had two flats. They fixed me up very quickly and had me on my way.

Many thanks.

Bicycle? BICYCLE?!? What is someone taking a *walk* doing with a bicycle? Heresy :-)

The bicycle gets me back to the car at the end of the day’s walk. An average day is 15 miles walking and 15-mile bike ride. It is a lot of exercise.

Curious about the logistics. Is Karen with you? If not.. you either drive towards La. 15 miles deposit your bike somewhere then drive back, leave the car, walk 15, then ride the bike back to the car. Or you’re pushing the bike as you walk which is too depressing for words.

If Karen is with you, then she should be getting one fantastic Christmas present.

Just picture me pushing a bicycle down the side of the road and you will just about have it right.

Funny, when pushing a bicycle more people stop and ask if you need help than if you are just walking.
