{"id":184,"date":"2008-11-13T08:17:00","date_gmt":"2008-11-13T13:17:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dwaynephillips.net\/takingawalk\/?p=184"},"modified":"2009-06-13T13:16:28","modified_gmt":"2009-06-13T18:16:28","slug":"a-typical-day-walking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dwaynephillips.net\/takingawalk\/2008\/11\/a-typical-day-walking\/","title":{"rendered":"A Typical Day Walking"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>by Dwayne Phillips<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Another often-asked question is, &#8220;what is your day like?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A typical day, hour by hour<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>wake<\/li>\n<li>06:30 breakfast<\/li>\n<li>Do my <a href=\"http:\/\/dwaynephillips.net\/daybook\/\">Tech blog<\/a> from the motel room (if the WiFi access is working)<\/li>\n<li>Bible reading<\/li>\n<li>08:00 pack, load the car, checkout, drive to starting point<\/li>\n<li>08:30 start walking<\/li>\n<li>15:30 stop walking<\/li>\n<li>drive to motel, check in, unpack<\/li>\n<li>16:00 move photos camera to computer, photo database<\/li>\n<li>shower and wash the day&#8217;s clothes<\/li>\n<li>17:00 dinner<\/li>\n<li>18:30 write this blog and put photos on <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Main_Page\">Wikipedia<\/a><\/li>\n<li>19:30 either read some fiction of play the guitar<\/li>\n<li>20:30 breathe a bit<\/li>\n<li>21:00 go to bed<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Monotonous? Maybe as each day tends to be the same as the day before schedule wise. Early schedule? Yes. We seem to live on an early schedule.<\/p>\n<p>We do this same schedule Monday through Saturday. We don&#8217;t walk on Sunday. One day of rest each week is necessary for 49 year old people.<\/p>\n<p>Boring? Absolutely not. One surprise in this taking a walk is how busy I am.<\/p>\n<p>I wish there were a couple more hours in the day so I could rest. Walking 15 to 20 miles each day does introduce some measure of fatigue.
