Without education, the sides will probably never come together.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gun control legislation is a hot topic in America today. It is almost impossible to have a rational discussion of the issue. The core problem is:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>knowledge<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This comes about from a lack of knowledge on<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>vocabulary<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Some people talk about things like<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>assault weapons<\/li>\n<li>assault rifles<\/li>\n<li>high-capacity clips<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>while other people snicker at the ignorance. And then there is that pesky little document known as the U.S. Constitution.<\/p>\n<p>Something will happen this year. (The absence of legislation is something, and that is what may happen.) Few will be happy with what happens.<\/p>\n<p>Education would be a big help before discussions begin. That takes time, so it is unlikely.<\/p>\n<p>NOTE: I do not consider myself an expert on firearms.
