Someone has just invented a new font that makes it easy to tell the difference between the number one and the lowercase letter L. Wow! 2015 and we&#8217;ve finally solved the problem.<\/p>\n<p>I first encountered this great innovation in 1987. Someone at work found a font where&#8230;blah blah blah. This is a one followed by an L: 1 l . I must be using some advanced font because I can tell the difference.<\/p>\n<p>All this blather about programmers and fonts illustrates on aspect of human life and endeavor:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>We love our unsolvable problems.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Let me tell you about all the unsolvable problems in my life (I won&#8217;t go into them at this time, but if you want to know&#8230;).<\/p>\n<p>Understand please, my life is full of troubles that no one can solve (like the number one and the letter L). Don&#8217;t suggest any quick fixes. I have explored all of them and proven them to be faulty. You see, I am a tough, tough person. I must be tough, because I have pushed and pushed against my unsolvable problems and found a way through my sheer fill-in-the-blank-with-a-good-attribute to live life regardless.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t want anyone to solve my unsolvable problems.
