I was shocked Monday morning as I opened the Washington Post web site. bin Laden is dead, killed by the U.S. military. I scrolled around and looked at a few other web sites. I really didn’t believe the news for a while.<\/p>\n
Then I looked around the web and listened to talk radio.<\/p>\n
I was shocked by the celebrations. I guess they make sense. People are happy about the news. Nonetheless, I was shocked. I didn’t feel like celebrating.<\/p>\n
Let’s review this:<\/p>\n
We killed half a dozen more<\/strong> people.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
I just don’t see the cause for celebration.<\/p>\n
I am thankful that a person who enables others to kill innocent people will not do that any longer.<\/p>\n
I don’t know any of the people who died on 9\/11. If I did, perhaps I would feel differently. I do know people who were killed and seriously injured by prior attacks enabled by bin Laden.
